Before the curtains op ened, the conductor came out and took a bow, and the orchestra played the overture. After the overture was played the curtains went up and the audience clapped. The setting for Act I was Seville, Spain in the form 1820. This was my least favorite act probably because I did not understand what they were saying and I did not notice the permeate with the English translations until later.

Act I is where Carmen was introduced, played by Kallen Esperian and she battle cry soprano. Her voice was incredible. There were four acts in all. Act IV was my favorite act not because it was the last ane, but it was the 1 where Carmen died. Carmen crushed the hearts of m! any men, but when she found her wiz true love, she could not be with him. Carmen was killed by one of her designer lovers. I really enjoyed the opera.
